Inquire to adopt

Before inquiring about a mustang, make sure to take note on whether the mustang is titled or not.

Untitled Mustangs: Untitled means that the horse still belongs to the federal government and is available for reassignment. They require an application with the government and also have fencing, shelter and trailer requirements. They are eligible for titling after 1 year.

Titled Mustangs: Complete ownership of the mustang has been passed from the government to the adopter. They are just like any other horse and do not have special requirements to adopt.
