Though Britta didn’t grow up with horses, she developed an early, unexplainable love for them—especially mustangs. In 2002, after discovering the Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro Program, she dreamed of someday adopting and training a wild mustang. “Someday,” she told herself, “I’ll adopt a wild mustang.”
Britta began learning to ride as a teenager and bought her first horse at 16. However, horse ownership turned out to be more challenging than she expected, as she struggled to connect with her horse due to a lack of knowledge and guidance. After college, she found herself in a career far removed from the horse world.
Years later, Britta realized that to make her dream of adopting a wild mustang a reality, she needed to turn her “someday” into a “today.” In 2021, she adopted her first mustangs.
The mustangs have transformed Britta’s life in ways she never imagined, especially in how she now relates to horses. The mustangs have deepened her understanding and empathy for horses, revealing just how misunderstood they often are. Along the way, the mustangs played a pivotal role in Britta’s YouTube channel, opening doors to new opportunities and growth.
Now based in Vermont, Britta creates videos featuring her four horses—three mustangs and one Appaloosa. Through her content on YouTube, she promotes kind, ethical horsemanship and inspires her audience to grow alongside her journey. In 2025, she is seeking to expand her education and knowledge in areas related to bodywork, corrective movement, hoof-care and liberty work.
